As an author, I know how difficult it can be to promote and sell your books. We spend countless hours writing, editing, and rewriting to bring to life the story that’s lived in our hearts for months or even years. Releasing your work into the world is bittersweet. AmandaReads is a book review platform that highlights local SETX (Southeast Texas) authors. From fiction to nonfiction, children’s books to young adult, devotionals to academic works. I read books from local authors and review them on my blog, which is available online. The platform also features interviews where authors can share insights into their writing process and what they hope readers will take away from their work.

While there are many online platforms, especially social media that authors can use to promote their books, they sometimes fall short. AmandaReads aims to bridge that gap by actively engaging with the community and offering opportunities for readers to connect with authors. It also serves as a reminder that writing a book is a major achievement, whether you sell one copy or one hundred.
